Valentines Day 2014

Thank you to hubby for the beautiful flowers and the huge card!

I did not expect to receive anything from him since he'd been working 12-hour shift for 4 days and he's dead tired when he gets home so I was really surprised. I felt guilty because I did not have something for him. Bad me.

There was no dinner date but  it was already a special valentines day for me.

Thanks for dropping by! Have a good one!

Stampin' Up Class

did not have an idea about this Stampin' Up Class when my new found friend Lisa called me and asked me if I would like to attend, nevertheless, I confirmed I would.

And so I learned that Stampin' up is crafting like scrap booking. I was introduced to everyone and I noticed that most of the people who where there were.. shall I say, in their 60's already. I bet they are enjoying their retirement years. The lady who was teaching us was also the seller of the materials and she taught us to make cards, (refer to the photos above) and she provided us the materials which were free of charge.

It was indeed very interesting! I can't believed that I have made beautiful cards! And, here is the best thing, there was a drawing and my name was called! There were three sets of prizes and I had to pick one. I chose the glue and the adhesive roller.

So I went home very happy bringing the three cards that I made, the prizes that I got and the brochure for me to check out.

It was a fun and great night!

Thank you for dropping by! You have a  good one!

Done Tax Filing With TaxAct

How about you guys? Have you filed your tax returns yet? Did you hire someone to do it for you? Hubby have been using TaxAct for years already except last year because we hired a lady to do it  and it cost us $50. The husband said we are not gonna do it ever again. So we are back to TaxAct and it only cost us $12 point something.

We helped a Hispanic couple filing their tax returns with TaxAct and I was surprised when they were not asked for a Credit/Debit card number. Apparently, it was free being first time users with TaxAct. They said a friend helped them file last year but that friend had moved to another state. They recalled that the other year they hired an office in Tonopah and it cost them $80. Hubby and I are happy to be of help to them.

It is easy to prepare tax returns online. Just make sure you have all the documents ready and just follow the directions. You can use TaxAct, TurboTax, etc. You can also hire professionals like H&R Block, Jackson Hewitt, etc.

Enjoy your Tax refund but spend it wisely!  Thank you for dropping by. Have a good one!

Scam Alert: Verizon34

I got a call from this number 800-922-1235  last Friday but I did not answer it because it is 1-800 number. I've always believed that if it is an important call, the caller shall leave a message. Indeed, there was a message that is not clear with noisy background that says ".....$34, at Verizon, we care about you. Thank you and have a nice day." I didn't think it was important so I just ignored it.

Yesterday, one of my husband's friends on Facebook posted something about it, said it was a scam. Apparently, she answered the phone and the other line told her to go online at www.verizon34.com, put in your account number, etc, to save $34. Of course, she hung up. Verizon Wireless doesn't call their subscribers, they send email and mail or text messages. I should know it because I am a subscriber.

Just an fyi.

Thank you for dropping by! Have a good one!
