Let's Dance Zumba!

Whenever I look for guides on how to keep myself sound and healthy, the word "exercise" is always in the list and I am kind of in denial about it because I thought I don't need one since I am not a heavy person anyway.

Exercise according to Mr. Webster is an activity that requires physical or mental exertion, especially when performed to develop or maintain fitness.Oh, well, the truth is, I am too lazy to shed off sweat.

My friend Brenda and I used to go for a walk every morning until I got a night shift job that changed my schedule in the truest sense of the word. Sigh! There were times that I did jog in place just to make me tired to force myself to sleep but then I quit. Yes, I am too lazy.

Last week, I read in the local paper the other day  that Curves in town is having a Zumba dance class everyday from 6:00-7:00pm. Zumba is a Latin dance workout to lose weight and  to keep in shape. It is the latest dance fitness craze worldwide. I got too excited that I jotted down the contact numbers right away to call them until I realized that by that time of the day (except during my days off), I would be in bed to catch sleep before going to work. What a bummer!

One of my co-workers said she likes to try Zumba too but she doesn't like to be with a lot of people so she bought Zumba DVD instead to try at home. Hmm. Pretty nice idea huh? Maybe I would do that too!

Let's do it!

TOEFL and Others

Have a fabulous and blessed New Year to all of us!

It's been like forever since my last visit on this virtual space of mine. I have been into  lots of  things lately. I study for an upcoming TOEFL Test. I read self-help books if bored and tired. I try to catch some Zzzzs to stay awake at work. I play Farmville again, and so on and so forth. In short, I am a very busy woman now, lol!

Okay, you might ask me what is this TOEFL Test I mentioned above. TOEFL means Test of English as a Foreign Language. I am planning to study online in a university and to pass this test is one of the requirements before admission because English is not my native language. The good side of this test is that , it doesn't involve mathematics which I hated most. The bad side is, I have to pass 80% out of 100. It consists of Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing skills. I paid $170.00 for the IBT or Internet-based test. Pretty interesting ha?

I need to study to pass the said test so I borrowed books from the community Library here, watched YouTube videos online and I also bought books and audio CD for speaking and writing from Amazon.com.

I have new year's wishes or in old school we call it "resolutions" so I read self-help books to get motivated and inspired. I am hoping it helps!

While in bed trying to sleep, I watch TFC or The Filipino Channel to keep myself abreast on what is going on in the Philippines.

And if I get burnout, I check my farm on Farmville. My kids asked me why I resumed on playing wherein I already decided to quit in fact I posted it here on my blog  last year entitled "Goodbye Farmville", I told them, "Just remember goodbye doesn't mean forever", nyahaha! They replied, "That's a song Ma!" Oh,whatever =)

So this has been my life now a days, chaar!

Catch you later guys, mwah!

Bebe Gandanghari is Dead: True or False?

Rumor has it that Bebe Gandanghari, the former Matinée idol Rustom Padilla who shocked the Filipinos when he publicly confessed that he's a gay, was already dead. According to the unconfirmed source, sex change transplant or sex reassignment surgery was the cause of his untimely death. Reports said that his family did not spill this into public because of the cause of his death.

I have read online that all surgery runs the danger of infection, bleeding, and a need to return for repairs but this kind of surgery is irreversible so the patient must accept about whatever the results. Other risks is patients developing other mental disorders, eating disorders, among others.

This is a very sad news if it's true. And if it is so, my Condolences to his family. And I hope they would tell the public about it so that those people who want to undergo the same will be aware on the risks that accompanied it.

And if it's not true, I challenge this gorgeous babe to come out and tell the whole world that he is still alive and kicking.Tama!
