| Mudfish fry |
The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources or BFAR of Caraga Region headed by Dir. Asis Perez has identified the 3-inch fish that fell out from the sky in Loreto, Agusan del Sur as fry or baby Mudfish.
The “fish rain” may have resulted from the formation of waterspout occuring as
cummu-nimbus clouds develop. It sucks up particles and
objects, such as fish, from the sea or bodies of water.
After the peculiar occurence happened in Loreto, Agusan del Sur, many people are now visiting the place to see the "fish rain".
