Summer Sun Safety Tips

credit to the owner

The summer sun's warmth and brightness can boost our spirits but over exposure can lead to health issues. Each year, more than 3.5 million cases of skin cancer are diagnosed in the United States.

Whether you've got a vacation coming up or you're simply working outside this summer, we've got you covered!

One ounce of sunscreen should be applied to your entire body. Reapply every two hours.

Only broad-spectrum sunscreens of SPF 15+ can protect skin from UVA & UVB rays.

Then sun's rays are their strongest from 10am-4pm. Limit your time in the sun during these hours.

Sunscreen is one level of defense. Add hats, protective clothing, and sunglasses
for more coverage.

You still need sunscreen on a cloudy day. 80% of the sun's rays can pass through clouds and fogs.

30 minutes is the average time it takes for sunscreen to soak into the skin and work effectively.

My Daughter Joined the US Marine Corps

Meet my super girl!

She attended 13-week boot camp in Parris Island, South Carolina. I was not really very supportive of her decision but eventually, I realized that she is already 27 years old and that she can do what she wants.

 Parris Island, South Carolina

We went shopping after the Family Day and we bumped into these girls

She looks tiny here. Well, she really is.

But in this photo she looks "meaty".

During graduation day with her Daddy.

With one of her Drill Instructors and "sisters"

The process was not easy. She had to gain more weight in order to get in. It was really exhausting emotionally in my part and I thanked God because my daughter made it! Seeing her after 13 weeks was one of the best times of my life. I cried buckets of tears though!

I am very very proud of her!

Thanks for dropping by.

Have a good one!
