Nevada Shoe Tree in the Middle of Nowhere

Just last month I read an article in a Reno paper about a shoe tree somewhere in US Highway 50 (America's Loneliest Highway) that has been cut down by vandals. I showed it to Ms. Wenda, an accounting staff who comes every morning to get all reports. She felt unhappy and she said she had photos of the tree when she happened to pass by that way quite a long time ago.  She explained that passersby  throw pairs of shoes  into the branch or twigs of the tree for fun.

Pretty weird, huh? I got interested and I asked her to post  them on her facebook so I could see and grab them. She did! Thank you Ms. Wenda!

When I searched it on the Internet, these are what I've got:
(Credit to the owner)

Wow, it looks like the tree has grown up and bears more pair of shoes already! Many thanks to the weird  passersbys! But sad to say, at this time, this shoe tree is no longer existing after heartless vandals cut it down, tsk, tsk, tsk!

Desperate?

I have had read different weird personal ads on the paper many times but this one really caught my attention and made me say "ayayay!"

Missing Connection

Looking for handsome brunette male who was in line at the Customer Service counter at Walmart around 12:30pm on June 22.  I am the redhead. We talked about my cats and the dust buster I was returning. I thought for sure you would ask for my number but you didn't, so here it is 123-456-6789. Ask for Hillary.  (I changed the phone number and the name to protect the lady.)

She is an example of a liberated American girl/lady.

I have showed this ad to my son and his reaction was "We don't have that in the Philippines, do we? Poor girl, she must be desperate..!"

I agree with him.

Well, I posted this ad for a change of topic :D

Thanks for hopping!

A Racist Joke

It's June already! Wow, I can't believe that we have done halfway in the calendar already. Time flies that fast! Well, it's a go signal for the classes to get started. And oh, June is my Mom's birth month.

I almost forgot, it is also this month when everyone wishes to be a bride or groom. I am wondering now how many couples will have their vows become "official" this month.

Speaking of  wedding vows, let me share this joke with you.

It happens!

DIVORCE?!

A Polish man moved to the USA and married an American girl.

Although his English was far from perfect (like mine), they got along very well until one day he rushed into a lawyer's office and asked him if he could arrange a divorce for him.

The lawyer said that getting a divorce would depend on the circumstances, and asked him the following questions:

L: Have you any grounds?

P: Yes, an acre and half and nice little home.

L: No, I mean what is the foundation of this case?

P: It made of concrete.

L: I don't think you understand. Does either of you have a real grudge?

P: No, we have carport, and not need one.

L: I mean. What are your relations like?

P: All my relations still in Poland.

L: Is there any infidelity in your marriage?

P: We have hi-fidelity stereo and good DVD player.

L: Does your wife beat you up?

P: No, I always up before her.

L: Is your wife a nagger?

P: No, she white.

L: Why do you want this divorce?

P: She going to kill me.

L: What makes you think that?

P: I got proof.

L: What kind of proof?

P: She going to poison me. She buy a bottle at the store and put on shelf in bathroom. I can read, and it say: "POLISH REMOVER!!!"

Joke Time!

My gorgeous friend Vanessa sent this to my email.
Have a hearty laugh!

THE HUSBANDS STORE

A store that sells new husbands, has opened in New
York City, where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among
the instructions at the entrance is a description of how
the store operates:

You may visit this store ONLY ONCE! There are six floors
and the value of the products increase as the shopper
ascends the flights. The shopper may choose any item from a
particular floor, or may choose to go up to the next
floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the
building!

So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a
husband. On the first floor the sign on the door reads:

Floor 1 - These men Have Jobs.
She is intrigued, but continues to the second floor,
where
the sign reads:

Floor 2 - These men Have Jobs and Love Kids.
"That's nice,' she thinks, 'but I want more."
So she continues upward. The third floor sign reads:

Floor 3 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, and are
Extremely Good Looking.
"Wow," she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going.
She goes to the fourth floor and the sign reads:

Floor 4 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids,
Drop-dead gorgeous,
Good Looking and Help With Housework.
"Oh, mercy me!" she exclaims, 'I can hardly stand it!'
Still, she goes to the fifth floor and the sign reads:

Floor 5 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are
Drop-dead Gorgeous, Help with Housework, and Have a Strong
Romantic Streak.
She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth
floor, where the sign reads:

Floor 6 - You are visitor 31,456,012 to this floor.
There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as
proof that women are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping
at the Husband Store.

PLEASE NOTE:

To avoid gender bias charges, the store's owner
opened a NEW WIVES STORE  just across the street.

The first floor has wives that love sex.

The second floor has wives that love sex and have
money and like beer.

The third, fourth, fifth and sixth floors have never
been visited.
