Manny Pacquiao Visits White House to Meet with President Obama

Our very own "Pambansang Kamao" Manny Pacquiao, the eight-time boxing World Champion, visits White House to meet with President Barrack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden, February 15, 2011. Reports says his wife Jinkee was with him and the couple had lunch with the two most powerful men in the world.

According to Pacquiao's publicist Fred Stenburg, "Manny said it was very impressive being in the Oval Office, seeing it first hand. He said it was a great honor to meet the President of the United States. He also said that the President is a very tall man." Stenburg also said Manny Pacquiao caused a heavy traffic when motorists stopped trying to take photos of him with cell phones when they saw him crossing the street near the White House.

He invited the President to watch his fight against Mosley but the President has to work that day but promised to follow the fight on TV.

The boxing champ received three grocery bags full with light blue M&M chocolates with presidential seal design and a watch with presidential seal logo from the President.

The said visit was personally arranged by Nevada's Senator, Harry Reid. Manny Pacquiao endorsed the Senator's candidacy during last year's election.
