A 17 year-old judge and a politician wannabe Teresa Scanlon, from my husband's birthplace, Nebraska, was crowned Miss America 2011 in the recently concluded Miss America Pageant held in Las Vegas. Showing off her talent, she performed "White Water Chopsticks" on the piano. She won $50,000.00 scholarship from Amway Company to continue her education.
She is the youngest Miss America in history.
