Goodbye My Leather Jacket

I've got lessons learned today. I had this very nice jacket ruined/wrinkled by throwing it into the dryer together with my black sweater and black pair of slacks.

This jacket is very special to me because I got it very cheap ($2.50) from a garage sale couple months ago and it was in a "like new" condition, perfectly fits and it is an authentic leather made in Italy.

I remember I paused for a moment before I threw it into the dryer but I went ahead all the same. I am very upset now. It was so stupid of me. STUPID me. I should have thought thrice or, I should have inquired Mr. Google first before doing such a stupid thing.

Sigh.

Hubby's Fave Green Salad

Hubby works 12-hour- shift in one of the mines here in Nevada so I make sure that he has plenty of foods  to grab anytime he feels hungry. I don't want him to get starved in the middle of nowhere =)

Green salad has always been present in his "baon" bag. His day is incomplete without it. Sharing some photos of his favorite green veggies. These photos were taken using my Android cellphone.

Spring Mix

Alfalfa Sprouts
Boiled egg and Avocado
(sometimes I put quartered tomato, sliced mushroom and red raddish)

Finished Product (with chopped celery)

Among choices of salad dressing, he likes Bleu Cheese dressing a lot. I like Italian and Thousand Island dressings.

Nothing can beat Olive Garden Restaurant's green salad which is the family's all-time favorite. Since it is 167 miles away, hubby is somehow contented with the green salad I've always prepared for him.

Try this! It's light and healthy.

Back to Blogger's World

Hi everyone! I've been away for awhile and it's good to be back :)

I had no single post last month. Just bein' too lazy.

It was kind of a wistful month for me. My teeners left for Philippines to continue their college education. I can't afford to send them both at the same time here in US because the tuition fee here is outrageous. Although online study here is a good option, for me it is still best to send them to the Philippines to attend a regular class via physical school.

Mother's Day was a little bit melodramatic for me because of the HUGE Mother's day card my teeners left before they went inside the airport. I found it in the car seat. I had tears all over my face while reading it. My heart was soo heavy that time.

Hubby and I celebrated our 4th Wedding Anniversary last May 17th. Hubby gave me a nice cellphone but honestly, I was not happy about it because  I didn't need one. I'd rather have a cheap cellphone that I can use to stick in my OFW Sim Card so that my love ones from the Philippines could text me for only 1 peso per message sent.

It was a good month at work though.  We were very busy and the incentive I got was huge (for the first time) but of course, all  was sent for my teeners or shall I say, everything was for them and only for them.

All in all, month of May was okay.

I hope I will be inspired to blog more this June.

Thanks for reading.
