My Christmas (2010)

I thought it was only yesterday when I posted something about Jasmine Curtis-Smith. I am so behind! What a lazy, lazy me!

Well, another Christmas holiday had passed by. It was my third Christmas away from the Philippines. The past two years was just a "so so" because my kids were not here. This year was a great one because my family was complete. Hubby and I got days off on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (unlike in the past two years) so we got to spend this special occasion with our teeners.

We didn't wrap gift. It was a mutual understanding that we would just buy whatever we want to buy for ourselves for Christmas. Hubby decided to buy an engine and transmission for his ancient Chevy Van which costs him a fortune (lol!). I bought lots of stuff online from Coach, American Eagle, Victoria's Secrets. I also bought something from Crocs and Guess. My daughter bought stuff from Aeropostale, Converse and Forever21. On the other hand, my son got stuff from Levi's, Aeropostale and also from Converse.

It was my first time to buy  lots of stuff online for myself. My daughter said I deserved them. She was the one who suggested to also buy things for myself because I always prioritize my family and relatives back home. When I was still in the Philippines, I spent mostly of my Christmas Bonus to my loved ones including my extended family and I am still doing the same thing sans Christmas Bonus from my employer because we don't have such a thing here.

Anyway, I spent more than 10 hours video chatting with my family back home last Christmas day. I was able to see my mother, sisters, Aunts and Uncles, nieces and nephews, neighbors, etc. via Yahoo Messenger video chat. They were hosting an annual Children's party at that time held at the front yard of my parents' home and everyone came except my brother and his wife because they attended another important event in Digos City. While watching the party in a real time, it was like we were also there. It was really cool!

As Christmas presents, I sent some goodies to my friends and I got some presents from them too.

All in all, my Christmas was a BLAST!

Jasmine Curtis Smith

She is Anne Curtis's younger sister. Like her sister, she is also pretty and gorgeous. When she and Anne "nagpasikat" in ABS-CBN's Showtime, it was a blast! She can really dance!

So sad that she is going to work with Kapatid Network or TV-5 instead of ABS-CBN. I can't watch her because TV-5 has no network abroad unlike ABS-CBN and GMA. I supposed she can be a Star Magic baby :D

To Jasmine, all the best!

It's Joke Time!

Let me share these jokes. I got them at work one night and I brought  home copies to for hubby. He laughed out loud while reading them  so I thought to post them here.

Silent Treatment

A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were giving each other silent treatment. Suddenly, the man realized that the next day, he would need his wife to wake him up at 5:00am for an early business flight.

Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper, "Please wake me up at 5:00am." he left it where he knew she would find it. The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00am and he had missed his flight.

Furious, he was about to go and see  why his wife hadn't wakened him, when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed. The paper said, "It is 5:00am. Wake up."

Wife Vs. Husband
A couple drove down a country road several miles, not saying a word.  An earlier discussion had led to an argument and neither of them wanted to concede their position.

As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats, and pigs, the husband asked sarcastically, "Relative of yours?"
"Yep," the wife replied. And after a pause added, "they are in-laws."

Understanding Women (A Man's Perspective)

I know I am not going to understand women. I'll never understand how you can take boiling hot wax, pour it onto your upper thigh, rip the hair out by the root, and still be afraid of spider.

Women's Revenge

"Cash, check or charge?" I asked, after folding the items the woman wished to purchase. As she fumbled for her wallet I noticed a remote control for a television set in her purse. "So, do you always carry your TV remote?", I asked. "No", she replied, "but my husband refused to come shopping with me, and I figured this was the most evil thing I could do to him legally."
